01 — About this policy
Tidewild: Adventure RPG & PvP (the "Game") is a mobile game made by Ghostbyte Games ("we", "us", "our") for Google Play and the Apple App Store (com.ghostbytegames.tidewild). This policy explains what the Game collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
We collect only what the Game needs to run your account, keep your progress and improve the Game. We do not sell personal data.
02 — What we collect
- Your account. On first launch the Game creates a guest account with a random ID. If you choose to save it, we store the username you pick and your password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash and is never readable. If you use Sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID and email address, and the email becomes your username.
- Your game data. Heroes, items, currencies, quest and chapter progress, and Arena results.
- Purchases. When in-app purchases are available, the app store handles the payment. We receive a record of the purchase (the product, the time and the store's transaction ID) through RevenueCat, our purchase-validation provider. We never see your card or payment details.
- Gameplay analytics. Events about how the Game is played and how it performs (for example, that a chapter started, or how smoothly a screen ran), linked to your account ID, along with your device's operating system. We use them to fix problems and improve the Game.
- Advertising data. The Game offers optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device data. See Advertising.
03 — How we use it
- To run your account and keep your progress, including syncing it between the Game and our server.
- To run the Arena and its results.
- To validate purchases and deliver what you bought.
- To prevent cheating and fraud.
- To understand and improve the Game.
04 — Advertising
Ads in Tidewild are optional rewarded videos: you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward. To show and measure these ads, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, device information, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, under Google's Privacy Policy (see also how Google uses data from apps). We don't share your username or email with ad networks.
You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID in your device settings: on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
05 — Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. It is processed only by the services the Game is built on, each under its own privacy policy:
- Google (Google Play, Google Sign-In, AdMob): policies.google.com/privacy

- RevenueCat (purchase validation): revenuecat.com/privacy
Your game data is stored on our own servers. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our players and the studio.
06 — Security
All data between the Game and our servers travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to address issues promptly if they arise.
07 — Keeping & deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and its data at any time:
- in the Game: Settings → Delete Account, or
- on the web: tidewild.ghostbytegames.com/delete-account.html, or
- by emailing hello@ghostbytegames.com from the address on your account (useful for Google sign-in accounts, which have no password).
Deleting removes your account, your heroes, items and progress, your analytics events and your records in our game logs. Your name is removed from shared results such as other players' match histories. We keep purchase records (product, time, transaction ID) as needed for accounting and refunds.
08 — Children
Tidewild is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
09 — Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email us at hello@ghostbytegames.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
10 — Changes to this policy
We will post any change to this policy on this page, with a new effective date.
